To the left we have set up another experiment, that looks almost like the one on the previous page. In the upper part we have a battery, a switch, and an electromagnet.

Below the electromagnet we have set up another iron core with an insulated copper coil around it. We have then connected a light bulb to the lower coil. Now, once again, flick the switch, and watch what happens.
